Dry Maitake or Hen of the Wood mushroom.

Maitake or Hen-of-the-woods mushroom, is a polypore fungus found on trees. The fragrant Oak tree fungi blends well with pasta and sauces. Grifola frondosa’s sharp taste and overwhelming onion and garlic undertones make for edible seasoning. Clean and without sulfates, ready to eat.

The product is locally manufactured and produced. There are only raw organic and untreated materials. The product is grown on our farm using sustainable farming methods, clean air, and a naturally healthy environment. Materials used are locally sourced and support the local community. The GMP, an ISO-certified facility, produces the finest quality.

Does it contain any sulphates or chemicals?

There are no added sulfites or heavy metals in the product. However, since those allergic to sulfites may experience symptoms in rare cases, we advise caution those individuals take the necessary precautions and do a test. If in doubt, consult a doctor before purchasing our perishable foods because of naturally occurring compounds present.

How is it prepared and used in cooking?

The item is kept in an airtight container. Once opened, use the contents immediately or store them in another vacuum sealed bag with a moisture absorber. First, take out the desired amount of dried fungi. Next, place it into a bowl and pour warm water. Finally, let it sit for several minutes before pouring out the water and use both the liquid and fungi.

How does it get stored in storage?

The goods remains stable in an unopened packet for around 6 months. Once opened, use the product within 1 month. Store unused dried contents in a zip lock bag with a packet of silica or moisture packet. Place in a cool, dry space and do not refrigerate or freeze the content. Take the dry item out of storage as needed and immediately reseal the bag after.
