Dried Morel Mushroom: Answered Questions
How are they used in cooking and in the kitchen?
First, boil some water and add it to a glass. Next, take the desired amount of mushrooms from the packet and throw them into the glass. Finally, wait a few minutes for the fungi to absorb the water. Remember to add as little water as possible so as not to overhydrate.
What is the correct way to store them long term?
They can be stored in an airtight container with a packet of silica gel. Storage time is around 6 months if stored correctly. Do not vacuum seal the bag because they will be crushed. Keep a Ziplock bag inside of an airtight box with moisture absorbers.
Where are these from and where is the origin?
These locally produced fungi are harvested directly from the mountain areas where the air is clean, and the soil is nutrient-dense. The foragers collect the fully matured fruiting bodies and leave the small ones to grow. It’s ecologically sustainable.
How do these taste and what is their flavor?
Their taste is unbelievable, and while we aim to describe it in text, it is far better to taste! A meaty flavor is all-encompassing of a slight barbeque seasoning, and it smells of molasses when it hits the nose. Slightly chewy once hydrated like meat.
